I'd describe myself as someone with intense curiosity and passion for teaching and learning. Apart from being an English/Spanish teacher I'm also a biologist and a musician, who adores nature, very long trekks and loves checking out stones, butterflies and plants. I sing a lot and find a lot of peace studying classical pieces on the guitar. I love history, paleontology and anthropology and learn about them as often as I can. Oh and I almost forgot, I greatly enjoy learning other languages, I've been studying French and Italian for some years now and also recently started Japanese, I'm simply fascinated by it.

I have experience tutoring students in elementary, middle, and high school. In late April of 2023, I completed an internship with African Community Education in Worcester, Massachusetts. African Community Education is a non-profit organization providing students from African refugee backgrounds with academic assistance, social-emotional education, physical education opportunities, and arts enrichment. The subjects I tutored were academic English, United States history, and basic mathematics. Additionally, I would take the time to read books with the students. Reading to the students and asking them to read passages in the book aloud helped them improve their English fluency.

I have been bilingual all my life, learning English and Portuguese with my family. I really understand the process of language acquisition. I use the communicative approach to give you opportunities to speak about varied topics. This method helps you learn vocabulary, while I make sure you are speaking correctly, with the correct pronunciation, making sure you are able to communicate well with others in English! Sou bilíngue desde criança, tendo aprendido inglês e português simultaneamente, com minha família. Então, entendo muito bem como assimilar e falar um novo idioma. Eu uso a abordagem comunicativa para dar a você oportunidades de falar sobre tópicos variados. Este método ajuda a aprender vocabulário, enquanto asseguro que você esteja falando corretamente, com a pronúncia correta, garantindo que você possa se comunicar bem com outras pessoas em inglês!

I believe that the best way to learn to speak any language is to speak it! With a lot of oral practice to unlock language skills and acquire the desired fluency, making speaking English simple and natural. Since family is bilingual, we learned languages like children do by listening, understanding and finally speaking. When reading or writing prematurely, without having mastered oral skills, many students become inhibited, full of grammatical rules in their heads and afraid to speak. My classes are aimed at developing oral skills, enriching vocabulary and learning grammar in the context of the language, with lots of practice. Now, if you need to study for a test or prepare for a business trip with specific content (preparation for lectures, power point presentations, attend conferences), I can also help you in private classes with targeted teaching. Want to nail a job interview and write an awesome resume in English? You can count on me!

Graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Bac+4) in International Business, I worked in purchasing, merchandising and planning functions; roles that encompassed sales, trading, logistics and financial programming expertise. I graduated with a Master's degree in art history from Paris-Sorbonne University. The training I received allowed me to consolidate an in-depth knowledge of art, a spirit of synthesis and great rigor of reasoning. After completing my Master's degree, I launched Move2Paris, a relocation service to help English speakers who want to settle in Paris. In addition, I do consulting for several restaurants and bars who wish to entrust me with the management and development of their tourism function. My diverse portfolio along with my excellent vocabulary, grammar and communication skills can help you get your dream job (or even just the next job :)
